Act 87, 2008
State and Local Teams
We are not compelled by law to put our children first, as community and state we choose to work together for our children.
The passing of Act 87, 2008 codified the voluntary process of Child Death Review established in Pennsylvania in 1991. This law was not created with the intent to force communities or the state to do what is correct or right but to assure that Local Child Death Review Teams would be protected and have the ability to accomplish their mission of promoting the safety and well-being of infant, children, adolescents and young adults to reduce preventable fatalities.
